Because the workplace requires some level of social interaction and due to assumptions that strengths in certain areas mean that competencies in other areas must certainly exist as well, misunderstandings inevitably arise. Employers willing to meet workers with ASD halfway will be rewarded with contributions they may be uniquely equipped to make.
